2014-03-10Implement time-based resume and playback start.Michael Sevakis
This complements offset-based resume and playback start funcionality. The implementation is global on both HWCODEC and SWCODEC. Basically, if either the specified elapsed or offset are non-zero, it indicates a mid-track resume. To resume by time only, set elapsed to nonzero and offset to zero. To resume by offset only, set offset to nonzero and elapsed to zero. Which one the codec uses and which has priority is up to the codec; however, using an elapsed time covers more cases: * Codecs not able to use an offset such as VGM or other atomic formats * Starting playback at a nonzero elapsed time from a source that contains no offset, such as a cuesheet The change re-versions pretty much everything from tagcache to nvram. It handles exit() properly, calling the handler also when the plugin returns normally (also make exit() more standard compliant while at it). It also holds PLUGIN_HEADER, so that it doesn't need to be in each plugin anymore. To work better together with callbacks passed to rb->default_event_handler_ex() introduce exit_on_usb() which will call the exit handler before showing the usb screen and exit() after it. In most cases rb->default_event_handler_ex() was passed a callback which was manually called at all other return points. This can now be done via atexit(). gives a buffer against wrongly identifying a thread when the slot is recycled (which has been nagging me for awhile). A slot gets 255 uses before it repeats. towards the possibility of other types. All SVN targets the low-lag code to speed up blocking operations. Most files are modified here simple due to a name change to actually support a real event object and a param change to create_thread. Add some use of new features but just sit on things for a bit and leave full integration for later. Work will continue on to address size on sensitive targets and simplify things if possible. int * to match the parameter type of the buffer functions called in the core. Get rid of unsafe int * <==> size_t * casting. Use ssize_t where int was used and size_t where unsigned int was used in the buffer calls to not alter signedness in the plugins. 2005-07-26Moved implementation of user timer to the firmware layer, implemented it for ↵Jens Arnold
iriver, and made it shareable based on priorities. On iriver, the user timer is shared between the backlight fading and other use, so if a plugin registers the timer, the backlight will resort to simple on/off switching until the plugin releases the timer again.
